When we think of a kitchen island with stools it may conjure in our minds a picture of a traditional family gathered around some well-worn wooden kitchen stools sipping eggnog during the holidays. 6. For a poker theme or billiards room style loft all you need are a few second hand oak bar stools. Well, a pool table helps to complete the look, but you could improvise by getting some cues and a rack to hang on the walls.

Kitchen stools need not be the mildewed step stools in your Aunt Mildred's house, nor the plain-Jane bar set in Dick and Jane's basement. Pick your style. It's your home after all!
